Our experience with corporate desktop deployment helped us fit out hardware for nearly 1200 desks on the construction site of a Tier 1 commercial interior supplier. Working with multiple stakeholders, and possessing the required industry-standard qualifications, were key to a successful deployment.
Due to the nature of the project, a higher level of security clearance and onboarding were required before being allowed onsite. Along with higher clearance protocol, site operatives were required to attend a 1/2 day induction, undergo drug and alcohol screening and hold trade specific CSCS cards.
The brief included PAT testing of all office hardware and appliances, cable management, connection from wall port to CPU and the deployment of all desktop hardware. Prior to commencing the project a desktop deployment demonstration was given to clarify needs and requirements as well as maintain uniformity throughout the installation.
Our vast experience in corporate desktop deployment and configuration enabled us to design a desk solution that provided a working environment that was functional as well as safe.
It was challenging working on such a high profile site with multiple stakeholders, greater health & safety requirements and incredible logistics. The key to our success was maintaining a high-level of communication with all stakeholders and good cooperation with all trades working on the site.
Upon completion of each phase of the project, Voicepath provided the client with a high level of documentation in the form of resource plans, serial numbers, location maps, and patching schedules. This ensured all trades following behind our installation had the information they required for future connectivity and maintenance of the equipment.
