Aerohub

Regional Airport IP CCTV

We established a Category 5e temporary communications infrastructure at a major surfing competition, covering broadband connection, voice communication, judging and the broadcast of live scoring. We worked with the event organisers to deal with expected and unexpected challenges, to ensure this live event went off without a hitch.

The Solution

Our experience in networking and IP based solutions allowed us to put forward a proposal that resolved the lack of network infrastructure and presented a CCTV solution that would surpass airport specifications.

We chose the Mobotix MX12 IP cameras as all the required features are built in as standard and the array of lens configurations available would allow us to provide images for the complete length of the access road with just three MX12 Mega Pixel Day & Night cameras. The M12 was designed for harsh environments. The waterproof housing comes as standard, it is powered via Power over Internet (PoE) so a special housing and power would not be required.

The Result

This was a technically challenging project given the location, lack of existing infrastructure and distances involved. Our knowledge of networking and IP systems enabled us to overcome all of the obstacles presented. The new Aerohub was provided with a state-of the-art versatile system that can be easily added to. It has the ability to supply images to any location required, all while keeping power and bandwidth consumption to a minimum, saving on running costs. The Mobotix M12 delivered everything the end user required, and more, at no extra cost over traditional analogue CCTV.
